These workshops are for grades 1 – 8. They will be held via ZOOM at the date and time specified below. Materials can be picked up in the Craft Shop in the Student Center on the SIU Carbondale campus or kits can be mailed to you for an additional fee of $12.

Registration closes one week before the workshop begins.

Sketch Book Club

Mondays, September 14, 28, October 12, 26, and November 9 | 3:30 – 4:30 P.M.
Workshop Fee: $50 (at home supplies)
Join the Craft Shop Sketch Book Club for an after-school drawing lesson. Every other week we will cover a different drawing style using supplies around your house.

Paper Bead Necklaces

Thursday, September 24 | 6:00 - 7:00 P.M.
Workshop Fee: $27 pick-up | $39 shipped
Use recycled paper from books and magazines to make paper beads. This workshop will cover how to make variation in size and shapes to make a unique piece of jewelry.

Watercolor Scratch Art

Saturday, October 3 | 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.
Workshop Fee: $32 pick-up | $44 shipped
Uncover the possibilities of combining scratch art paper and watercolor. Scratch paper is a paper coated with a black surface when scratched your design into the surface it reveals the white paper beneath which can be painted to add a colorful finish.

Clay Pokémon

Wednesday, October 7 and Friday, October 9 | 4:00 - 5:00 P.M.
Workshop Fee: $45 pick-up | $57 shipped
Learn to build with air dry clay to make a Pokémon sculpture then add final details with acrylic paint.

Polymer Clay Ornaments

Tuesday, December 1 | 4:00 - 6:30 P.M.
Workshop Fee: $42 pick-up | $54 shipped
This workshop will focus on how to mix and layer colors of polymer clay to make handmade ornaments.

Camp Requirements

The Camp Release Form is required for camp participation under the age of 18 and must be received in our office prior to camp beginning.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

ALL requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. The registration fee, less a $10 cancellation fee, will be refunded if you cancel at least 7 business days prior to the camp. Any time after that date, refunds (less the $10 fee) will be issued for medical reasons only. Refunds are not given to campers who voluntarily leave camp.
