This is a two-day course to assist individuals in gaining their FAR Part 107 UAS Certification. The curriculum will cover everything that you need to know to pass the aeronautical knowledge test at the end of the course. Subjects to be covered include FAA UAS regulations, weather, National Airspace System, airport operations, aeronautical decision making, radio communications and more. Included in the workshop are practice tests as well as completing the FAA knowledge test for certification.
Registration fee covers the certification course, FAAA knowledge test and lunch both days of the workshop. Attendees who are recertifying will receive course information, the knowledge test and lunch on the first day.
Instructors for this course:
Course instructors are assistant professor Steve Goetz, associate professors Mike Robertson and Bryan Harrison, and flight instructor Ken Bro from the Aviation Management and Flight Department. From the Aviation Technologies Department; Harry Fanning, lecturer, and Dr. Charles Rodriguez, visiting lecturer.
