This is a two-day course to assist individuals in gaining their FAR Part 107 UAS Certification. The curriculum will cover everything that you need to know to pass the aeronautical knowledge test at the end of the course. Subjects to be covered include FAA UAS regulations, weather, National Airspace System, airport operations, aeronautical decision making, radio communications and more. Included in the workshop are practice tests as well as completing the FAA knowledge test for certification.
Registration fee covers the certification course and lunch both days of the workshop. Attendees who are recertifying will receive course information, the knowledge test and lunch on the first day.
The FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems certification test is an additional $175. Students will have the ability to register on the Wednesday of the course for a Thursday afternoon testing slot at the Transportation Education Center and if they want to take the test in conjunction with the workshop. Payment is due when they register during the course. However, participants can also register at any FAA testing facility to take the test and this will be gone over in the course.
