SIU Wildlife's 75th Anniversary
Celebrating 75 Years of Wildlife Research Excellence
Center for Wildlife Sustainability Research (CWSR) | September 26–27, 2025
Southern Illinois University | Helleny Pavilion, Banterra Center
Join us for a landmark event celebrating 75 years of wildlife innovation, education, and impact at SIU. What began in 1950 as the Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory has evolved into the Center for Wildlife Sustainability Research (CWSR)—a dynamic hub addressing the world’s most pressing conservation challenges.
Over two days, we’ll honor our storied past, highlight current research, and look boldly toward the future of wildlife sustainability. Enjoy keynote presentations, student and faculty poster sessions, alumni reunions, interactive exhibits, and behind-the-scenes tours of our legacy and ongoing research.
Whether you're a graduate, partner, student, or friend of the Center, this event is your chance to reconnect, reflect, and reimagine the future of wildlife science—together.
