Southern Illinois Pediatric Symposium

ICAHN and SIU are partnering to host speakers from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital to offer this day-long, symposium geared for nurses, EMS providers, and college students. This event is open to the public.
Nurses and EMS providers can earn 6.00 contact hours upon successful completion of the program. The attendee must stay for the full duration of the program and fill out the survey in order to obtain credit.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Topics include:
- Pediatric trauma emergencies
- Common pediatric respiratory illnesses
- Newborn assessment and stabilization
- Pediatric seizures
- Care of the child with a tracheostomy
- Pediatric sepsis
