We are delighted to share this learning opportunity with you once again. We have many exciting plans in store as we celebrate our conference’s 40th anniversary!

The 2026 Conference
With your help, this conference continues to feature diverse, relevant sessions which cover a wide variety of topics and grade levels in PK–12+ mathematics education. Our participants will experience a professional development event that is unique to our area, highlighting the extraordinary work being done in local classrooms, where math teachers from Southern Illinois and beyond can connect with and learn from each other.

A full program and conference website are currently being developed, and we will share those with you as soon as they are complete. In the meantime, please put this date on your professional calendar now and let your colleagues and others know about the conference.

 

Convenient Location
All sessions will be held at the Hancock Conference Center (F-wing) on the scenic John A. Logan College campus, conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from both Carbondale and Marion.

What's Included
Conference fees include a continental breakfast, lunch, and 4.5 PD's if attending all sessions. 

Parking
Participants may park in Lot A or Lot D on the John A Logan College campus.  The John A Logan campus is located at 700 Logan College Road, Carterville, IL  62918.

Registration Fee:  Early Bird fee $110 register by Jan. 9, $120 after Jan. 9

Registration Deadlines: After February 10, participants must register on-site at the event.  Meals are not guaranteed for registrations after Feb. 10.

    About
    This long-standing, southern section conference was established by Jerry Becker, a renowned SIU math professor and member of numerous mathematics organizations. Dr. Becker's vision has created a hub for sharing innovative ideas, effective practices, and practical materials to enhance math education.ICTM is the premier organization of mathematic educators in Illinois.  

    ICTM was organized in 1949, the council was created to foster greater interest in the teaching of mathematics at all grade levels. A small group of 90 interested mathematics teachers met that year at the University of Illinois to determine the structure for a state mathematics association. Today, ICTM coordinates an annual statewide conference in addition to regional conferences. 

    ICTM offers several resources to the general public, not just to our members.  However, these resources continue to be available only because of our strong member base who continue to contribute through their dues, times, and participation.
