Craft Shop Summer Art Camps
Craft Shop Youth Summer Camp 2025
The emphasis of these camps is on the creative process and to encourage imagination and creativity. Art builds better people and communities by developing confidence and poise that can last a lifetime. Art also increase motivation, improves attitudes and academic performance.
The grade level for each camp is based upon the grade students will be entering when they return to school in the fall of 2025.

June 9-13, 2025
Clay Dinner Party
Get creative with clay! Discover wheel throwing and hand-building techniques to create a unique themed set. Students will learn how to make plates, bowls, cups, clay food, and other items for the table. Each day will focus on different item to add to the decorative and functional the table setting. The class will learn to add color with underglaze and glaze.
Time: 9:00 – 11:00 am
Grades: 1-3

June 16-18, 2025 (Three-Day Workshop)
Fun With Fibers
This workshop will focus on different styles of fiber art including creating handmade fabrics with dye and fabric ink, weaving, felting, and more. Each student will learn how to use the sewing machine sew and how to add fun details with hand sewing!

Sewing: Stuffed Animals
We will use both hand sewing and the machine to create our own fabric stuffed sculptures. You can make a pillow, animal, cartoon, use your imagination. We will design on paper, create a pattern, sew, and build. After assembled we will embellish with fabric paints, buttons, embroidery and appliqué techniques.

Drawing: Comic Books
Draw and tell a story to create your own comic book. During the class we will develop a storyline and characters. We will combine drawings and bind it into a handmade comic book. This workshop will use pencils, markers, colored pencils, and some sewing for books binding.
