 Are you ready to elevate your track & field performance? SIU’s Track & Field Clinic delivers a high-energy, technique-focused training experience for athletes ages 12–18 looking to sharpen their skills and compete with confidence.

Led by SIU’s elite coaching staff, this clinic blends interactive drills, event-specific instruction, and expert feedback to help athletes unlock their full potential—whether you're a sprinter, hurdler, jumper, thrower, or distance runner.

What Athletes Receive

  • Personalized technique evaluations

  • Event-specific coaching: Sprints, Hurdles, Distance, Jumps, Throws

  • Hands-on throws training (shot put, discus, hammer)

  • High-energy drills, demonstrations, and skill progressions

  • Hammers provided; bring shot/discus if you have one

Athlete Schedule

1:00–1:30 pm – Registration, Introductions, Warm-Up
1:30–3:00 pm – Basic Drills & Skills ( Session 1)
3:10–3:40 pm – Snack Break
3:45–4:45 pm – Advanced Drills & Skills (Session 2)
5:00–5:15 pm – Group Photo & Close

What to Bring

Gym shoes, spikes or throwing shoes, water, snack.
No meals or overnight stays provided (commuter camp).

9:30–11:15 am – Classroom/Interactive Breakout Sessions
11:15–11:30 am – Break
11:30–12:15 pm – Athlete Recruitment Seminar
12:15–1:30 pm – Lunch Break (meals not provided)
1:30–3:00 pm – On-Track Athlete Session Observation
3:10–3:40 pm – Break
3:45–4:45 pm – Event-Specific Breakout Observation
5:00–5:30 pm – Takeaways & Group Photo

Registration 

SIU Track & Field: Sprints, Hurdles, Distance, Jumps and Throws Clinic

 Athletes: Track Camp-$150  ( ages 12-18)

Coaches: Coaches' Clinic- $150

  •  Call 618-536-7751 to register over the phone with a VISA, Mastercard, or Discover.
  • Fax the SIU Track and Field   registration form with payment information to 618-453-5680
  • Camp Requirement: The Medical Release Form is required for camp participation and must be received in our office before the clinic begins.  
Coaching Staff

 Cancellation/Refund Policy

ALL requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. The registration fee, less a $15 cancellation fee, will be refunded if you cancel 7 days prior to attend the Clinic. Any time after that date, refunds (less the $15 fee) will be issued for medical reasons only and must have a signed statement from your physician. If a medical cancellation request is not received by the last day of instruction, a refund will not be issued. Refunds are not given to campers who voluntarily leave camp or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons.
