Saluki Hitting School is the perfect place to come and get dialed in before baseball starts to pick-up! This 3-day camp allows hitters to get group and one-on-one training with D1 coaches and players. Drills and training that will help each player become the best they can be. The benefit of attending all 3 camps is the ability to see the progress that is made in the short time we are working together. The camp will include demonstrations, drill work, mindset, approach, and much more! Come become the best you can be at the Saluki Hitting School! Items needed: Bat, helmet, and water. Tennis shoes will be worn on the turf.

Description: Saluki Pitching Development Camp is a great opportunity to come and get an extensive evaluation, as well as learn important day-to-day routines like those used by Saluki pitchers. This 2-day camp will provide access to a detailed Rapsodo report that will be explained by SIU coaches(MPH, Spin Rate, Etc.). Each pitcher will get a detailed packet explaining everything that we will go over during he camps. The benefit of attending both camp sessions is the ability for us to track progress and access growth from one session to another, thus allowing a more detailed report to leave you with heading into your spring season! The report provided, as well as the detailed daily maintenance that goes into developing as a high-level pitcher. The camp will include demonstrations, drill work, mindset/approach discussions, and mobility training. Items needed: glove, tennis shoes and water.

Our infield camp is a great asset for any infielder eager to learn and get better. The camp will be conducted by SIU’s Infield Coach Brett Peel. He will run the campers through a series of drills that the Saluki infielders do daily. In 2023 The Salukis led all D1 in double plays turned. This camp will help give you the tools to become an elite fielder at all positions. Items Needed: baseball glove, tennis shoes, water.

3rd Annual Catchers Camp with SIU Catching Coach Jake Ryan. The camp will include a professional style catchers’ workout that will focus on the main fundamentals of catching: receiving, blocking, throwing, game management, and leadership. Drill work off machines, plyo ball work, core velocity training, and much more will be conducted throughout the camp. Campers will be able to take home all the drills that we do with our D1 catchers every single day. This camp is the start of making you the best catcher you can be! Items you’ll need to bring: catchers gear, catchers glove (if you have it), water, tennis shoes for inside the REC.

SIU “Date Night” Camp is the great opportunity for you to drop your kids off in a fun environment for a couple of hours while you get some well-deserved time off. This camp will be more of a laid-back atmosphere for kids to come in and play a bunch of different games with all their buddies from the Southern Illinois area! It’ll have a Sandlot Camp feel where games, challenges, and competitions will make it a great time for your kid on a Friday “Date Night”. Just bring water, a snack if needed, a baseball glove, and bat.

SIU’s 1st Annual Father & Son Instructional Camp is open to all parents (Mom or Dad), guardians, older siblings, etc. This camp’s emphasis will be to teach the guardian of the camper all the basic and necessary drills that are beneficial to make their father or daughter succeed in baseball. It will be a tutorial with demonstration of different drills that will help develop the camper in their baseball careers. Items to bring: baseball glove, bat, water and snack if needed.
