Nursing Career Camp
NURSING CAREER CAMP HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2026
Nursing Career Camp is a 3-day camp tailored for grades 9 - 12, aspiring to pursue a nursing career. Preference is given to students currently in a CNA or health occupation program
Date: June 23-25, 2026
Time: 9am - 3pm
Location: Applied Sciences and Arts Building, 1365 Douglas Drive, Carbondale, IL 62901
Activities

Hands-on Experience:Participants gain practical experience in healthcare settings, often using state-of-the-art simulators.

Career Exploration:The camp aims to help individuals explore a career in nursing, providing insights into the role and responsibilities of a nurse.

Skills Development:Participants can learn basic nursing skills, such as taking vital signs, administering medications (in a simulated environment), and providing patient care.

Be sure to complete a Camp Release Form and submit it to conferenceservices@siu.edu at least one week before the camp start date
Cancellation/Refund Policy
All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. The registration fee, less a $20 cancellation fee, will be refunded if you cancel at least 7 business days before the camp. Any time after that date, refunds (less the $20 fee) will be issued for medical reasons only. Refunds are not given to campers who voluntarily leave camp.
