As a young person who loves the sport of baseball and wants to improve your skills, you should attend our summer baseball camp. Yearly, young players learn to enjoy the sport because our coaching methods work on individual skills to improve your ability to hit, field or pitch. Attending our camp will improve your confidence. You will enjoy the game more as your skills improve. Plan to spend some time with us this summer and enhance your performance. Many former campers have experienced success at the high school level and gone on to play college and professional baseball. This camp is open to any and all players between the ages of 7-13. Camp is open to any and all entrants limited only by age, number, grade level and/or gender.

The camp will be separated by age groups for more individual instruction. All campers will have access to all SIU baseball facilities. Every effort will be made to keep the player to coach ratio at approximately 10 to 1. This will be a commuter camp only with lunch provided for all campers each day. Saluki Baseball Camp instruction will include:

  • Hitting
  • Bunting
  • Base running
  • Infield play
  • Outfiled play
  • Pitching
  • Specific position work
  • Supervised game activity

CHECK-IN/OUT:

  • Check-in: Monday, June 12 – 7:30-9 a.m. (Camp will start at 9 am daily)
  • Check-out: 3 p.m. daily

CAMP LOCATION: SIU Carbondale, Richard "Itchy" Jones Stadium

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 5, 2017

REGISTRATION FEES:

By May 22, 2017

  • Individual: $180
  • Team Registration (6 or more players registering together): $160  

After May 22, 2017

  • Individual: $195
  • Team Registration (6 or more players registering together): $175

CAMP REQUIREMENT:
The Athletic Medical Release form is required for camp participation and must be received in our office prior to camp beginning.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
ALL requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. The registration fee, less a $15 cancellation fee, will be refunded if you cancel at least 7 business days prior to the camp. Any time after that date, refunds (less the $15 fee) will be issued for medical reasons only and must have a signed statement from your physician. If a medical cancellation request is not received by the last day of instruction, a refund will not be issued. Refunds are not given to campers who voluntarily leave camp or who are sent home for disciplinary reasons.
